The Chinese smartphone company Oppo has officially unveiled its latest 5G smartphone in India today. The company has introduced the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G, which has already been introduced in China in December. It is the successor of Oppo Reno 4 Pro that features quad cameras and a 90Hz refresh rate display. Moreover, it also includes a 65W fast charging and an octa-core processor. However in China, the company has introduced three models – Oppo Reno 5 5G, Pro 5G, and Pro+ 5G, but here in India, the company has only launched the Pro variant.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G price in India and availability details
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G has been launched in India in a single configuration of 8GB RAM with 128Gb storage. The price of the handset is set at Rs 35,990 and will be available in two colour options of Astral Blue and Starry Black. The Oppo smartphone will be available for purchase starting January 22 via Oppo India e-store and e-commerce website Flipkart. Other retailers also include Big C, Croma, Reliance Digital, and Sangeetha. The 5G smartphone is already up for pre-orders in the country.
The launch offers to include in the starting first three days of the sale the HDFC Bank and ICICI customers can avail 10 percent cashback whereas Bank of Baroda and Federal Bank cards and Zest money customers will get Rs 2,500 cashback on the purchase of the mobile phone. Additionally, the Paytm customers will also get 11 percent instant cashback using their Paytm wallet. Oppo will also be offering an additional 120Gb of cloud storage for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G tech specs
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and 90Hz of refresh rate. The screen has a 92.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 402ppi pixel density. The device runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top and it is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with ARM G77 MC9 GPU for graphics and will be available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage options.
For photos and videos, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G comes with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. Further assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The device sports a 32-megapixel selfie sensor with an f/2.4 aperture on the front display.
The device is backed by a 4,350mAh with 65W fast charging support. For connectivity, the device includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. While the sensors onboard include a geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gravity sensor and gyroscope. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.
