How to turn on Instant Streaks on Snapchat?

Don’t want to wait 3 days to start a Snapstreak? Check out this new feature.

Snapchat recently added a new feature that allows users to start a Snapstreak instantly with their friends. Earlier, you needed to exchange snaps with a friend for 3 consecutive days to get a streak started. Now, if you have a Snapchat+ subscription, you can kick off a streak on the first day itself. This feature is turned off by default. Here’s how you can turn on Instant Streaks on Snapchat.

What are Instant Streaks?

A ‘streak’ is a counter that appears next to a contact’s name on Snapchat when you exchange snaps with them for 3 or more consecutive days. When you don’t exchange snaps for 24 hours, your streak with the contact goes away. If you have a Snapchat+ subscription, you can revive the streak. However, if you’re using the free version of Snapchat, you will need to start again.

Snapchat’s new ‘Instant Streaks’ feature removes the necessity of the initial 3-day period to start a streak. When you enable this feature, you can kickstart a streak with a friend as soon as you send or receive the first snap. While this is a feature that is exclusive to Snapchat+ subscribers, both parties involved in the streak do not need a premium subscription to use it. If you have Snapchat+, you can start an Instant Streak with any of your friends.
