Amazon launches new Fire tablet with 7-inch display, quad-core SoC for $49.99

Amazon the leading e-retailer has expanded its Fries series of tablet with the launch of new Fire tablet. The company has priced the device for $49.99 (Approx. Rs 3,300) and is available only in Black colour option. The company has also rolled out an offer that if you purchase 5 tablets then you will get 1 tablet for free. The customers’ just need to use the code FIRE6PACK and the tablet will be available for purchase only on Amazon.com from 30th September.

The Amazon new Fire tablet flaunts a 7-inch display with 1024×600 pixels resolution and runs on the new Fore OS 5 ‘Bellini’ based on Android Lollipop operating system. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The onboard storage of the tablet accounts to 8GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The tablet sports a 2.0-megapixel rear camera and a VGA font facing camera to facilitate video calling. The connectivity attributes of the device include WiFi, Bluetooth with support for A2DP, USB 2.0 and claims to deliver the battery backup of 7 hours of mixed usage.
