Vivo plans to launch the X300 series in India, which comprises the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro models, soon through Flipkart. While no exact launch date for India has been disclosed, the X300 series features a strong 3 nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Both versions include triple rear camera sets, with the Pro version including a 50-megapixel main, a 50-megapixel ultrawide, and a spectacular 200-megapixel periscope camera capable of 100x digital zoom.
Vivo hinted at the upcoming launch of its flagship Vivo X300 series in India via a tweet on X.com. In addition, a dedicated landing page for the X300 series has been created on Flipkart, indicating that it would be available through the e-commerce portal. The series launched in China on October 13 and then in select global markets on October 30.
While the series’s specific features and launch date are unknown, sources suggest it will make its debut in the first week of December.

The Pro smartphone features a 6,510 mAh battery, 90 W wired and 40 W wireless charging, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, a big x-axis linear motor, an action button, a signal amplifier chip, and four Wi-Fi boosters. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connectivity.
The Vivo X300 is a standard smartphone that uses the same chipset, operating system, construction, connectivity, and security features as the Pro model. The X300 has the same 50-megapixel front camera as the Pro model. On the rear, it has a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB main OIS-supported sensor, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor with an ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel LYT-602 periscope telephoto camera. Landfall, a new Android spyware found to be targeting Samsung Galaxy phones
Landfall, a spyware that has been active for over a year, targets Samsung Galaxy smartphones by exploiting a hole defined as CVE-2025-21042 in the image processing of the phone’s photo library. This commercial-grade virus can record audio, read messages, and copy data without being detected, and it can be spread via seemingly legitimate photos posted on social networking platforms. Although Samsung fixed this issue earlier this year, the malware stayed operational for more than a year before the repair, targeting certain Galaxy models using targeted image parsing.
The Landfall spyware attack was uncovered by cybersecurity experts at Unit 42, the threat intelligence section of Palo Alto Networks. The spyware was camouflaged among picture files and exploited an unpatched vulnerability to obtain unauthorised control over the afflicted devices.
According to the research, the vulnerability is not an isolated incident; rather, it indicates a repeating pattern of comparable security concerns across several mobile platforms. CVE-2025-21042 was already being exploited before Samsung released a fix in April 2025 in response to reports of real-world attacks. However, the exploit’s specifics, as well as the commercial-grade spyware that accompanied it, have yet to be publicly revealed and investigated.
LANDFALL used malicious images in the DNG format, which were apparently sent over WhatsApp. This approach is comparable to a previously reported exploit chain including vulnerabilities in Apple and WhatsApp that got noticed in August 2025, as well as another exploit chain connected with the zero-day vulnerability CVE-2025-21043, which was discovered in September.
