Facebook owned Whatsapp is one of the most popular applications used for chatting and sharing multimedia. The company always brings out some good features for their customers and keeps them indulging in using this application. Recently the company announced the support of multi-device. Want to know how to use WhatsApp on two phones?
The feature is still in its beta mode, but consumers can use it very easily. This will allow you to connect 4 devices without the need for the primary devices to stay online. The feature currently only lets you make a computer system as your companion device. Do you want to use a smartphone rather than your computer? Here is how you can do it.
The first step will be enrolling yourself into beta testing and then later will be connecting your smartphone.

Enable multi-device beta
Step 1 – Open the Whatsapp application on your primary device.
Step 2 – Tap the three-dot on the rightmost corner.
Step 3 – Select Linked devices from the drop-down menu.
Step 4 – A try new improvement popup will appear in front of you, press ok.
Step 5 – Now tap on Multi-device beta to enrol yourself.
Step 6 – Press Continue to step ahead (all previously connected devices will be logged out).
Step 7 – Read all the terms and conditions before linking the device.
Step 8 – Head back and select the Link a Device option.
Step 9 – Open the QR scanner and follow the next steps.
Making a smartphone as a companion device

Step 10 – Open WhatsApp web on the smartphone you want to make a companion.
Step 11 – Tap on the three-dot option on the right top corner to see the drop-down option. Select Desktop site check box.
Step 12 – Now you will be able to see a QR code on your smartphone.
Step 13 – After this take your primary device and scan the QR with the scanner.
After following the steps correctly you will be able to use WhatsApp on your smartphone as a companion device.
