A strong relationship with channel partners is vital and is another source of information where our partners share their views about the best industry practices and innovations on a regular basis with us.

What are some of the unique features or advantages of Optoma India’s projectors compared to its competitors?

Some of the differentiating features of Optoma projectors are the 4k UHD range, Laser light source and High Brightness PRO AV projectors up to 22000 lumens. Optomawas the first brand in the world to launch Laser Projection TV almost 2 years ahead of any of the competitors. The entire projector industry is moving from lamp-based projection to Solid State projection, Lasers and LEDs light source are the technologies in this space. Optoma intends to bring its entire portfolio into the ambit of Laser light source technology in the next 2 years.

How does Optoma India provide customized solutions to meet the specific needs of its clients?

Optoma works very closely with our partner SI’s, dealers and customers to provide a satisfactory experience to the customers. Providing the right solution starts with identifying the need or problem in the right manner. After identification, the latest technological solution along with the right value is proposed. After acceptance by the customers, we start executing the process. The brand holds very close coordination with both SI and customer to manage the expectation and outcome.

Can you share any success stories or case studies of companies or organizations that have used Optoma’s products to achieve their goals?

We have a number of success stories to share but I would like to take this opportunity to tell your readers about an incident that was both challenging and exciting. The International Centre for Sikh Studies wanted to create a 45-minute audio and visual show that knits the long history of Sikhism from its inception to today with the latest projection technology. This full 360°dome projection covers an auditorium that is 18 meters in diameter and 10 meters in height, equipped with 200 seats. The auditorium projection is an immersive viewing experience that aims to create awe-inspiring and emotion-inducing memories. The building construction was completed in 2018, but due to the complex nature of this immersive dome projection, no other brands were willing to take on the AV installation component. This is when Optoma and MSS World stepped in and took the opportunity head-on.

We came up with a unique solution to cater to the centre. During the planning phase, the project’s complexity evolved with adding a 6 meters diameter and 2 meters height holographic solution along with the 360°dome projection. We needed to integrate the projection and holographic content with an inflexible projection area and the limitations of projector distances. Throughout 2022, Optoma India and MSS World worked closely with the International Centre for Sikh Studies to create the massive dome and holographic screens. This is the largest installed project in India for Optoma till date. The Optoma India team provided the client and their vendors with hands-on experiences with model preselection.

What is Optoma India’s vision for the future of the projector industry, and how does the company plan to contribute to it?

Ans: Our present priority is to introduce Laser Technology for projection to every segment. Not only does it provide products with a long lifespan of from 4,000 to 20,000 hours, but it is also simple to maintain and has fewer outages during the course of the product’s lifetime. Compared to lamp-based projectors, their colour reproduction capabilities are greater. In the next 18 months, we want to have up to 80% of our product line-up be laser light source projectors. The move from projectors with lesser resolutions to 4K and 4K UHD models, which produce images with resolutions of 4,096 x 2,160 and 3,840 x 2,160 respectively, is another technology we are concentrating on. These projectors create detailed images that enable a cinematic and interesting experience. As mentioned we are also focusing on environment-friendly products too.
