The betting industry has grown so large in the last couple of years that modern players use far more devices than before. You can still find users who prefer betting on their computers, but the majority will choose a smartphone or tablet.

Using these devices has a lot of advantages, but many bettors have yet to test them. Some have not done that because they are not fully sure how it all works, so it’s time to walk you through the entire process.

How to use an iGaming site on your smartphone

There is absolutely no denying that the smartphone is the most popular tool that people use when they want to wager on the go. It has been around for ages and allows sports fans and casino enthusiasts to access sites like Stake. In fact, after completing the stake sign up process, people will find that it is one of those sites that provides tons of different features, options and bonuses.

The first thing you need to know when you decide to use your smartphone is that there are two options to look for:

  • Mobile app
  • Mobile site

Many of the big betting companies have invested in fully-fledged mobile applications. Assuming that’s the case, your job is to download and install it before you can use it.

Chances are, however, that the betting site you want only has a mobile site. While this may not seem good at first, the truth is that all of the mobile sites work really well, and there is usually no need for an application. But how do you actually use both? Let’s check out.

Using a mobile App

Assuming you choose an online bookie/casino that offers a mobile app, you need to follow the steps to download and install it. This can be straightforward, but it can also be very tedious, especially if the operator has a very complicated system.

The standard process requires you to go to the App Store or Google Play, find the app and download it. Once done, you should be able to log in with your existing account details and start using the specific site right away.

In most cases, however, people have to change specific settings within their device to access the app. For example, Android users often need to allow their phone to work with sources outside of Google Play. Once done, they have to find the APK file, download it and then install it.

The iOS app is even more complicated because it often involves changing your region in the App Store or creating a brand-new Apple ID. In some cases, you may even have to download a third-party app to access the actual applications.

The process is very complicated because most bookmakers do not have licenses from all of the countries where they want to work. Consequently, they can’t get their apps on the official platforms unless they find different loopholes.

Using a betting site on your tablet

The situation with using a tablet for online sports betting/casino games is the same as that for smartphones. However, the big difference is that there are even fewer apps that will be available for this device. As a result, you will only have access to a mobile site.

Most big companies with legitimate apps on the App Store and Google Play can let you download and install the app on your tablet. Sadly, most brands are simply not like that, so you can’t even get them on your device.

How to start using the app/mobile site?

Assuming you have decided which device you’ll use and whether you’ll use an app or the mobile site, the next step is to start using it. This is where it usually gets interesting because the next steps depend a lot on the specific operator.

Typically, users can start playing by creating a new account. Players with existing gambling accounts, however, will have to login directly because creating a second account with the same operator can lead to penalties in the long run.

Once logged in, the next step is to review the available bonuses and complete a transaction. Most sites with mobile apps and solid mobile sites will also allow people to access various propositions and will let them make problem-free transactions.

Lastly, you should head over to the casino/sportsbook to see what is available. If you have chosen a reputable online casino/bookmaker, there should not be any differences in what’s available on your phone, tablet and desktop. Sadly, a lot of sites seem to cut corners, so be careful.

So, is betting on the go worth it?

Yes, betting on the go is usually worth it because it lets you enjoy what you like without needing a computer. Just make sure to choose a site that is actually worth using because some bookies and casinos are simply not good. You already have all of the steps needed to get the app on your device.
