JioSaavn has released a new feature called Music Profile that enables users to find and showcase their musical taste. This feature highlights personalisation and enables users to discover their musical identities. The Music Profile is designed to help users discover and listen to more music that they love on all their devices using Android, iOS and web devices.
Speaking about the launch of this new feature, the JioSaavn spokesperson said, “Music plays an important role in how people express themselves and connect with the world around them. With Music Profile, we are creating a more personalised experience that helps listeners understand their evolving music preferences while enabling discovery that reflects their mood. This launch is in line with our continued focus on building experiences that go beyond streaming.”
The new feature under the ‘Music Profile’ section brings in a user’s ‘Music Persona’ which is a way to increase user engagement with their music preferences. This tool helps users to flaunt their distinct music personalities and find content that caters to their specific likes. Users are given ‘Music Persona’ badges depending on their streaming habits, with examples such as ‘Punjabi Murid’ and ‘Bollywood Bhakt’ to categorise them according to their musical inclinations.

Users also receive milestones for significant achievements, such as songs streamed, artists discovered, and playlists created, which fosters a sense of satisfaction. By analysing users’ listening behaviour and interaction patterns, The Music Profile provides full summaries of their music preferences, including preferred genres and moods, as well as their top songs and artists. The profiles also keep track of your listening habits and provide weekly and monthly summaries, so you can see how your musical tastes evolve over time.
JioSaavn’s new Music Profile feature will enable users to change their ‘status’ and highlight their favourite musicians on their profiles. This feature allows users to build a custom public profile that represents their musical tastes and listening habits. It also allows users to listen to new music from their favourite artists in a custom library. The profile also offers features for displaying customised playlists and sharing unique musical interests with others. The new Music Profile is available on Android smartphones (library space) and iOS devices (profile section), providing a seamless and engaging user experience across platforms.
