Following Airtel and Vi, Reliance Jio today has announced a price hike of up to Rs 480 on its prepaid packs in India. The price rise is only applicable to select Jio prepaid plans and has been implemented on its unlimited prepaid plans packages.
According to the telecom operator, the price hike is done in line with its commitment to further strengthen a sustainable telecom industry. “These plans will provide the best value in the industry. Upholding the Jio promise of providing the best quality service at the lowest price globally, Jio customers will continue to be the biggest beneficiaries,” Jio commented.
As per Jio the unlimited plans will go live on December 1 and can be opted from all existing touchpoints and channels.
Starting with the most premium ones, the Rs 2399 prepaid plan brings 365 days of validity along with 2GB of data per day and unlimited voice and 100SMS per day. One now has to pay Rs 1559 instead of Rs 1299 unlimited prepaid plan. It will be offering your 336 days of validity, 24GB of internet data, unlimited voice calls and 3600 SMS. On the other hand, the Jio prepaid plan which was earlier available at Rs 599 will come at Rs 719 from next month. It comes with 84days of validity, 2GB per day data, unlimited voice and 100 SMS per day.
The price of other plans like Rs 75, 129, 149 will now be accessible at Rs 91, 155, and 179 respectively. The Rs 91 Jio prepaid plans come with 3GB data per month, unlimited voice and 50 SMS, while the Rs 155 prepaid plan comes with 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS.
The Jio prepaid plan which was earlier available at 199 now you have to pay Rs 239. This plan comes with 28 days of validity and offers 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS/day. The plan of Rs 249 will be available at Rs 299 providing 2GB/day data free voice calls and 100sms/day.
Other data add-ons plans like Rs 51, Rs 101 and 251 can be accessed at Rs 61, Rs 121 and Rs 301. These plans bring 6GB, 12GB and 50GB of data respectively.
