Reliance collaborated with Google to launch an India exclusive phone named JioPhone Next. The smartphone was much-awaited and seems to be the most affordable phone in the country. The phone will be available this Diwali and will have a low upfront payment tag of just Rs 1,999. The phone was expected to launch way earlier, but it got delayed due to a global chip shortage. Price and Plans
The phone starts from Rs 1,999 only and the rest of the cost can be paid via easy EMI of Rs 300-600 over the next 18-24 months. The free monthly data and voice plan will differ depending on the EMI plan a consumer chooses (consider the image below to get an idea of plans and processing fee). Consumers can also choose an upfront payment of Rs 6,499 without finance for the Jio Phone Next smartphone.

Specifications
The phone is an entry-level option and the specifications we get on it are no different. The JioPhone Next is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC. At the front, we can see an 8MP camera that has big traditional bezels and holds a 5.5-inch touch screen LCD. The phone also gets a traditional 3.5mm audio jack and dedicated SD card slot.
Though there is a dual SIM provision, mobile data can only be utilised from a Jio SIM. While the other sim can be used for calls and messaging services. On the official Jio site head to the JioPhone Next registration. Input your email id and phone number to generate OTP. After the registration is complete choose the buying plan accordingly, with EMI or upfront payment. After giving them your location details you will receive an SMS confirming your order. Now you can just walk to the nearest Jio Mart retailer and collect your phone.
