AMD at Computex 2026: AMD has launched the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D CPU for AM5-based platforms

AMD Marks 10 Years of Socket AM4 with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th-Anniversary Edition Processor. The company also announced an extension of support for the Socket AM5 platform until 2029, highlighting its commitment to upgradeability. At the same time, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D CPU is also released for AM5 platforms. AMD now brings EXPO technology with ultra-low latency to the table, boosting performance with certified memory kits for Ryzen processors. With the global debut of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card, we can look forward to more people having access to enhanced RDNA 4 gaming performance. AMD, especially, stresses its commitment to long-term platform innovation and high-performance gaming experiences at Computex 2026.

In celebration of 10 years of the Socket AM4 platform, AMD acknowledges its significance for PC gamers as it allows for upgrade flexibility across several versions of the “Zen” architecture and chiplet designs. As part of the celebration, AMD will be launching the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition on June 25. This CPU is remarkable for featuring AMD’s unique 3D V-Cache technology and comes with the Carbice Ice Pad, delivering a recommended retail price of $349.

AMD is also expected to bring the Ryzen 7 7700X3D to the AM5 platform. The new CPU has eight cores, a large 104MB cache and speeds of up to 4.5GHz. It is due to debut on July 16, with a recommended price of $329.

AMD has also promised continued support for the Socket AM5 architecture until 2029, which should help user confidence and upgrade flexibility going forward. Alongside those CPU releases, AMD will offer the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card on June 2. The new graphics card comes with RDNA 4 architecture and is able to provide a stunning 21% lift in gaming performance at 1440p. It has a recommended price of $549.

AMD also announced the launch of AMD EXPO Technology, making overclocking memory easy and providing ultra-low latency that would increase frame rates by an average of 4%. The technology will be available in June 2026 via several partners as the first memory kits based on AMD EXPO.
