Asus ROG Phone 3 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC set to launch in India today

The device is expected to come with a pop-up selfie camera

The Taiwanese electronics brand Asus today is going to host the ‘Game Changer’ event today in Taiwan. At the event, the company will be introducing its next gaming smartphone Asus ROG Phone 3. Simultaneously the device will also be launched in India and is going to be available via e-commerce website Flipkart.

 The ‘Game Changer’ event is scheduled for today in India as well as globally. The Asus ROG Phone 3 global launch event will begin at 8.15 PM IST. Online launch events have become the new normal these days thanks to the pandemic coronavirus so there will be no physical launch. Asus ROG Phone 3 expected specifications

The reports and leaks suggest that Asus ROG Phone 3 is expected to pack a massive 6,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. The device is said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor with increased performance, faster gameplay, ultra-intuitive AI, game-changing Wi-Fi, and a full suite of Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. It could be offered in a 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

Most likely there will be a 6.59-inch full HD+ AMOLED display featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner. The display will be supported by a 120Hz refresh rate panel. Moreover, Asus ROG Phone 3 is expected to run Android 10 OS with ROG UI skin on top.

In addition to this ROG Phone 3 is expected to have a triple rear camera on the ROG Phone 3 consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a secondary 13-megapixel sensor and the resolution of the tertiary lens is not known but it is expected to be a telephoto lens with 8x zoom support. For selfie, the device is expected to get a pop-up front-facing camera as there is no evidence of a punch-hole to house a selfie camera.
