Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 3GB, 4GB RAM variants get support for EIS

Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus has announced that it is rolling out an update for electronic image stabilization (EIS) to its Zenfone Max Pro M1 users. However, it is worth noticing that the update will only be available for 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants of the smartphone.

The 6GB variant of the device already received the update in October and it was then that the company promised that it will roll out the same update for the other two RAM variants of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 too.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 FOTA version WW_Phone-15.2016.1810.337-20181106 not only gets EIS to the 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants of the smartphone, but live wallpapers too.

Asus has also said that the update is being rolled out in a phased manner, so don’t fret if your friends get it before you do. You can also go to the Settings of your smartphone to check for updates manually.  Also, it is always recommended to update while your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has at least 80% battery.

To recall, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 mobile was launched in April this year. Both 3GB and 4GB RAM variants of the device come with a dual rear camera setup. While the primary camera in the setup has a 13MP Omnivision sensor that comes with an f/2.0 aperture and the secondary camera has a 5MP sensor.  Electronic image stabilization was not available on the device when it was launched.

The 6GB RAM variant got the update a little earlier and now the feature is rolling out to other models too.

It has 64GB of storage onboard and can hold a microSD card of up to 2TB.

For imaging duties, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with 13MP and 5MP dual rear cameras, as we had mentioned earlier.
