Brand new Motorola Razr launched with foldable screen: Details, Price and Tech Specs

After so many speculations and leaks, Motorola finally launched the most loved and popular foldable phone Motorola Razr in an all-new avatar. The company has unveiled the phone that will compete with Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X but has a different design philosophy. The company has revamped the look of the iconic smartphone. The phone comes with a Flex View display also a Quick View display on the front when the phone is folded into half. This shows notifications, music, photos and much more. Motorola Razr pricing and India launch

Motorola Razr will be officially launched earlier next year in the month of January and will be available exclusively via Verizon in the US as well as in the Canadian market. And it will start taking pre-orders for the handset from December 26. The Lenovo owned company Motorola has introduced the device with a price tag of $1,499.99 that translates to Rs 1,07,400 in India. However, the company has not revealed the Indian pricing as well as it availability. But has set up a registration page where you can get yourself registered and get notified whenever the phone arrives in India as well as to get its updates.

Motorola Razr specifications and features

The all-new Motorola Razr carries a clamshell design. The handset looks similar to the older version of the Moto Razr but this time it comes with a water-repellent body. As we already know that Motorola Razr is a foldable smartphone so when the phone is folded it has a 2.7-inch Quick View display that offers 600×800 pixels of resolution on the outside. The screen can be used to check notifications, enable Google Assistant, control music as well as take selfies.

When unfolded the users get access to a 6.2-inch flexible OLED HD+ screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 876×2,142 pixels of resolution. Unlike the original Motorola Razr, the phone does not have any gap between the two halves of the screen.

The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC processor coupled with 6GB of RAM, it runs Android 9 Pie. The device houses a 2,510mAh battery and comes with 15W fast charging support. The bottom chin also sports a fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, there is a single 16-megapixel f/1.7 primary camera which also works as a selfie camera when in a folded state. The camera is supported by Night Vision mode to make sure the phone clicks bright pictures under low light situations. The main display notch also houses a 5-megapixel camera inside it to take selfies.

On the connectivity front the phone supports eSIM cards and NFC also there is Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE as well as GPS for connectivity. The device measures 72x172x6.9mm when unfolded and 72x94x14mm when in a folded state. The foldable device weighs 205 grams.
