Dell announced the launch of its mobile work station in India being called Precision 5550. It is a 15-inch model and is an upgraded variant of Pression 5540. The Dell Workstation comes with a smallest and thinnest 39.6 cm mobile workstation design to handle workloads. The device has been created for the working professional, creators as well as engineers and comes with a stunning 4-sided InfinityEdge 16:10 aspect ratio display. This is partnered with an infrared camera for improved video conferencing.

Tech specs-wise, the Dell Precision 5550 mobile workstation is powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Core and Xeon processors with up to 8-cores and is paired with NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics. The device can handle applications for 3D design and modelling, simulation & analysis, rendering etc. with ease. It comes with a Dell Optimizer for Precision software, the AI-based performance optimizer software that automatically tunes the workstation using machine learning, delivering Express Response for optimized application performance. Express Charge for faster battery charging is available, too.
According to the company, the Precision 5550 is 6 percent smaller than its predecessor 5540. It comes with 92 percent screen to body ratio and is made out of aluminium and carbon fibre to give a lighter feel. The latest workstation by Dell is supported by HDR400 and the Dell PremierColor Software offers colour accuracy along with as well as diamond cut sidewalls and machined speaker grills
The Dell Precision 5550 features a 105 percent larger touchpad as compared to the previous generation. IR camera at the top of the bezel and blue light sensor is available as well. Precision workstations are tested to ensure the high-performance applications you rely on every day run smoothly. Independent Software Vendor (ISV) certification is the result of precise engineering and rigorous testing to optimize performance and reliability to run leading industry applications. There is advanced thermal cooling which helps the device to power through professional programs by enabling the processor to stay in increased frequency turbo modes longer.
With the built-in AI platform, Dell Optimizer adapts to users preferences to create a smarter, personalized and productive experience. With AI-based features like Express Response, Express Charge and intelligent Audio, hence boosting the battery life, performance levels and refined overall sound experience. Precision comes with two Type-C Thunderbolt ports for superfast data transfers. Keeping in mind the security and privacy of the users the mobile workstation features a shutter to physically block the camera or open it when they want to during a video conference or take photos. In addition to this, the Dell Reliable Memory Technology (RMT) Pro protects the PC from potential crashes. Dell’s exclusive, RMT Pro works in conjunction with error-correcting code (ECC) memory to detect and correct memory errors in real-time.
