Garmin India has announced the launch of two new smartwatch series in India. The company has introduced Garmin Fenix 7 series and Garmin Epix smartwatches. The Garmin Fenix 7 series includes Garmin Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Solar, Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar, and Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar. The Fenix 7 series has a Power Sapphire Solar Lens that provides solar charging for increased battery life.
These new variants also include the industry’s first wristwatch with a built-in flashlight. On the other hand, Garmin Epix has an AMOLED touch screen display with multi-sport functionality.

Garmin Fenix 7 series, Garmin Epix price in India
Starting with the Garmin Fenix 7 it will cost Rs 67,990 whereas the Fenix 7 Solar is priced at Rs 82,990. The price of the Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar is set at Rs 93,990, and the Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar costs Rs 98,990. On the other hand, the Garmin Epix smartwatch will be available in India at Rs 89,990.
All the smart wearables will be available for purchase through Amazon, Flipkart, Synergizer, Tata Cliq, Tata Luxury, Helios and Just In Time, Decathlon shops, Anubhava store (Bengaluru), and Garmin’s brand stores in the country.
Garmin Fenix 7 specifications
The Garmin Fenix 7 smartwatch has a stainless steel body with a 1.3-inch touch display and is equipped with silicone bands. The screen offers a resolution of 260×260 pixels and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass DX protection and is certified to US military requirements for thermal, shock, and water resistance. There are two buttons for navigation as well.
The smart wearable can determine users oxygen level with Pulse Ox sensor and can also detect heart rate. The wristwatch may also track and control the wearer’s exertion, assisting in avoiding overexertion at the outset of a run or bike ride.
In addition to this the fitness-related features include bicycling, hiking, golfing, indoor climbing, rowing, running, skiing, swimming, and trail running. As per the company, the fitness tracker offers a battery life of up to 18 days in smartwatch mode. In GPS mode it can run for 57 hours and provides up to 57 days in energy-saver mode.
Garmin Fenix 7 Solar specifications
Similarly, most of the features on the Fenix 7 Solar are similar except for sleep monitoring, respiration tracking, hydration tracking and more. The device also offers NFC for contactless payments. As the name suggests, the Power Glass recharges the battery and can provide up to 22 days runtime in wristwatch mode. The smartwatch in GPS mode can last for 73 hours and in the battery-saver mode for 173 days.
Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar specifications
All the features are similar to its sibling but it has a titanium bezel and fibre-reinforced polymer casing with a metal back cover. The Device equips a Power Sapphire lens that provides solar charging for increased battery life. Some extra features it includes are golf course routes and surfing, as well as a ‘Real-Time Stamina’ tool for monitoring and tracking effort levels while participating in activities.
Garmin Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar specifications
Garmin Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar has a 1.4-inch display with a resolution of 280×280 pixels. The fitness tracker also includes a Power Sapphire glass. The wearable can last up to 37 days in smartwatch mode, 128 hours in GPS mode, and over a year in battery saver mode.
Garmin Epix specifications
Garmin Epix smartwatches have 1.3-inch AMOLED panels with a resolution of 416×416 pixels. Corning Gorilla Glass DX is the lens material on the steel model, while Sapphire Crystal is the lens material on the Titanium model. They have over 40 built-in sports modes, such as trail running, mountain biking, open-water swimming, triathlon, rowing, golf, weight training, and HIIT. In addition to this, there are 22,000 golf course maps from across the world. Both models of the Garmin Epix series are rated 10ATM up to 100 metres for water resistance.
The smart wearable has the Real-Time Stamina feature, which allows the wearer to comprehend their present physical strength, maintain stamina, and alter pace and intensity in real-time.
It has various satellite location systems (GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo) as well as a multi-band GNSS for accuracy. At higher elevations, there is a Pulse Ox sensor that measures the body’s oxygen levels. They are said to have a battery life of up to 16 days in smartwatch mode, 21 days in battery-saver mode, and 42 hours in GPS mode.
