The Premium smartwatch maker Gamin has today announced the launch of its latest smartwatch in India. The company has introduced Garmin Forerunner 745 which was earlier launched in the US a few months back. The wearable comes with GPS built for runners and triathletes looking for detailed training data, on-device workouts smartwatch features and more. It offers activity modes as well as support from Garmin Coach and a free training plan along with personalised run and cycling workout suggestions based on current training status. Garmin Forerunner 745 is endowed with a 1.2-inch colour touch display with 240×240 pixels resolution. It has a transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) display with Corning Gorilla Glass DX layering on top for protection. The device is specifically built for the athletes to track their workout and performance. Built from fiber-reinforced polymer the device water resistance as it is 5ATM rated. It sports a built-in GPS that can deliver one week of battery life on a single charge and without music it runs for 16 hours.
It has built-in activity profiles that include triathlon, pool swimming, track running and more, athletes can round out their training routine and can seamlessly switch between activities with the press of a button during a race or brick workout. The features are slated to help out athletes to better prepare for a race or training cycle, the Forerunner 745 includes key performance monitoring tools from Firstbeat Analytics like VO2 max, training load, training status and aerobic and anaerobic training effects.
The Garmin Forerunner 745 also offers running and cycling daily workout suggestions based on the user’s current training load and VO2 max.
Whereas its advanced dynamics helps the user with cycling and swim training. When on the bike it will track the data such as left/right balance, time seated and standing, platform center offset and power phase. While the swimmers can track distance, stroke, pace, personal records and more.
The Garmin smartwatch comes with an improved recovery time feature helping the athletes know how long to rest before a hard training session.
The Pulse Ox sensor on the watch helps to monitor users’ sleeping and adjusting to altitude acclimation while the Body Battery energy monitor lets athletes track their energy levels to find the best times for activity and rest. Whereas the menstrual cycle tracking feature will help women adjust their training to maximize improvement potential and plan for upcoming races based on where they are in their cycle. The watch stores up to 500 songs and lets users sync playlists from select preloaded music streaming services such as Spotify, Amazon Music or transfer music from a computer.
Even while on the move the users can receive text messages and view social media updates, emails and more.
