Google Chrome’s new update, Chrome 72 is out with new security improvements and features for developers. The Windows, Linux and Mac version of Chrome got a new Settings menu, complete pop-up blocking, Web Authentication API improvements and many other features as well.

In this update the Settings menu gets the Autofill support for its sections and a new shortcut has been added in the People section, which lets the user open their Google Account settings directly. The API improvements provided added layer of security to users. It now allows users to sign-in suing a security key, Bluetooth U2F keys or other security methods. For Windows users the update blocks code injections which reduces the crashes caused by third party software. And for Mac users, Chrome’s new update brings support for external authentication devices that connect over BLE. The update now restricts the pop-ups to appear during page unloads even if the pop-up blocker is active or not.

The updated version of Chrome for Android has been upgraded as well, in the update it brings to the media player notification while using Incognito tab and more features as well along with 58 security fixes.

For Android the updated browser brings a few changes to The tab menu. Security improvements have been implemented and now users can long press the back button to see tab history.
