Smart band and smartphone manufacture Honor has introduced Honor Band 5 in India. The Honor Band 5 comes with advanced health-tracking features at an affordable price. The key features include AMOLED full-color display, watch faces, intelligent sleep data, real-time heart rate monitor, water-resistant up to 50 meters, swim stroke recognition and 10 distinct fitness modes and many more.

Honor Band 5 features a 0.95-inch 2.5D Glass over a full-color AMOLED touchscreen display that offers high brightness while consuming less power. It comes equipped with 45 fonts that are color-coded text as well as call icons. With the use of Watch Face Store, the user can select watch faces, apt in every setting such as at home, on an outing, in the office, at the gym and more.
As we mentioned earlier the Honor Band 5 comes equipped with several health-centric features. It comes with a feature for tracking sleep that is called TruSleep monitoring. The company has used HUAWEI TruSleep2.0 sleep detection technology that makes sure sound and healthy sleep is what the user gets. It monitors the sleeping heart rate and breathing for tracking the user’s sleeping routine. According to the company, Honor Band 5 is capable of identifying six common sleeping problems along with more than 200 custom-made sleep quality evaluations. In addition to this, it also gives suggestions to the users for healthy and sound sleep. It automatically changes to the infrared technology to monitor the heart rate and sleep when the Band 5 becomes aware that the user is asleep. This feature puts off visible light from affecting the rest of the quality.
Honor Band 5 comes with a feature that monitor’s user’s heart rate too. The company has made use of Huawei’s TruSeen 3.0 intelligent heart rate monitor which makes the most of AI-driven algorithms for high-precision readings. Furthermore, the band also alerts the user if it detects an increase or decrease in heart rate. It brings into play Infrared technology for continuous as well as non-disruptive monitoring during the night. The Band 5 is water-resistant up to 50 meters that can be used while swimming, washing hand or rain. It also has a swim stroke recognition feature that can recognise four main swim strokes, namely freestyle, butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke. It can also record swimming speed, distance, calories, calculates and the SWOLF score. It also allows the user to plan for high-level fitness tracking and tailored recommendations that track as well as display data time, distance, stride frequency, speed, calories, and aerobic/anaerobic training results.
Honor Band 5 can be connected to a smartphone via Huawei Health app that also displays incoming calls that can be rejected or else muted. The band can also be used to click photos by simply lifting the wrist and using the band. Additionally, it has a feature that can be used to find the phone. The Honor Band 5 offers a battery life of up to two weeks.
