Honor Band 6 was launched in China later last year and is now all set to enter the Indian market. The smart band has been listed on Flipkart to tease its availability in the country. However, an exact launch date for its arrival has not been confirmed. It just has been listed on the e-commerce platform and the launch is expected to happen soon. The watch features a rectangular 1.47-inch colour display. It offers 10 sports modes and comes with 24-hour heart rate monitoring and women’s health management features. The Chinese company has not yet confirmed the launch date but the Flipkart listing reveals the key highlights of the upcoming wearable. As for the pricing, the Honor band 6 is available in China in two models, a standard one comes at CNY 249 (approx Rs. 2,800) whereas the NFC variant is available at CNY 289 (approx Rs. 3,300). The Indian pricing is likely to be similar to China, however only the regular variant is expected to be launched in India.
The biggest USP of the Honor Band 6 is that it can not be wholly categorised under a smart band nor in the smartwatch category. It falls between the both because of its design, which is not big as a smartwatch and not sleek as a fitness band. As said, it features a rectangular 1.47-inch colour display that comes with touch support and a 2.5D curved glass. The device offers options for over 100 dial faces choosing from. It will be available in three colour options – Coral Powder, Meteorite Black, and Seagull Grey.
Honor 6 Band comes loaded with 10 workout modes that include outdoor/indoor running, cycling, swimming, and walking. While it can detect the other 6 workouts automatically as it has an automatic activity tracking feature. With Huawei’s TruSeen 4.0 tech the fitness band can monitor heart rate all day. In addition to this, it includes SpO2 monitoring whereas the built-in sleep monitor keeps track of your sleep patterns and offers suggestions. Furthermore, Honor Band also offers women’s health management features that include ovulation tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, and more. It also gets voice control support to activate digital assistants. The whereas is compatible with any smartphone running Android 5.0 and above using Bluetooth 5.0.
Talking about the battery life, the watch boasts a 180mAh battery which offers up to 14 days of battery life with typical usage and up to 10 days with heavy usage.
