MG Motor’s ZS EV: India’s first electric internet SUV now comes at Rs 19.88 lakh

MG Motor aims to accelerate the adoption of eco-friendly and next-generation mobility solutions in India.

In today’s fast-paced world, having a car that can provide high-speed connectivity along with all the comfort is nothing less than icing on the cake. MG (Morris Garages) Motor India has lifted curtains off its ZS EV at Rs 19.88 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), for customers who have booked the car before midnight on 17th January 2020. While the ZS EV Excite can be taken home for Rs 20.88 lakh, the ZS EV Exclusive comes with a price tag of Rs 23.58 lakh.

Looking at the specifications, the carmaker shared that it “has introduced the MG eShield, which provides privately-registered customers with a free-of-charge 5-year manufacturer warranty for unlimited kilometres on the car and 8 years/150k km warranty on the battery.” The electric Internet SUV Each ZS EV carries an on-board cable to charge the vehicle anywhere, anytime.

For a period of 5 years for privately-registered cars, MG Motors claims to be offering round-the-clock roadside assistance (RSA) along with 5 labour-free services. The ZS EV comes at a running cost of sub-Re 1 per km. In addition to this, you can even get maintenance packages for 3 years for paying Rs 7,700 extra.

“The ZS EV is a globally-successful product that operates at the intersection of an EV’s sustainability, an SUV’s practicality, and a sports car’s performance. It comes with best-in-class features and tech capabilities at a compelling price point,” said Rajeev Chaba, President and MD – MG Motor India.

“We are confident that this unprecedented value proposition will incentivise more consumers across India to go electric. We will continue to strengthen the Indian EV landscape, as we offer the best of EV technology and act as the catalyst for the country’s nascent EV market by providing a complete, end-to-end ecosystem,” added Chaba.

In order to accelerate the adoption of eco-friendly and next-generation mobility solutions, MG Motor India is constructing a 5-way EV charging ecosystem in partnership with domain-leading players for bring an EV revolution in the country.

MG Motor’s ZS EV will hit the streets across Delhi/NCR, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, starting January 27.
