Motorola Razr 5G launching in India today: How to watch the launch event live

Motorola Razr 5G is all set to launch in India. The device is a follow-up of Razr which was launched in India earlier this year. The company will be announcing the phone through the e-commerce website Flipkart today. To recall the clamshell design smartphone was launched globally a few months back that includes a similar design but with some improvements over the latest generation to offer more durability. The Motorola Razr 5G comes with a 6.2-inch plastic OLED main flexible display and is powered by  Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC for 5G support.

Motorola Razr 5G expected pricing and launch details

Motorola has revealed that the second-generation foldable will launch in India on October 5 at 12 noon. The device will be available for purchase via the e-commerce website Flipkart. Just like last year’s Razr, this too is expected to be expensive in India as compared to the US pricing. To recall Motorola Razr 5G was launched with a price tag of $1,399 that translates to Rs  1.03 lakhs in the US. While the existing model is being sold via Flipkart for Rs 1,24,999 which costs higher than what is being offered in the US.

The second-generation foldable comes in a  single variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This will be available in three different colour options of Blush Gold, Liquid Mercury, and Polished Graphite.

Motorola Razr 5G specifications

The second generation of foldable comes with a 6.2-inch pOLED primary display with a resolution of 2142×876 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The outer display is 2.7-inch gOLED with 800×600 pixels of resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio. The fingerprint sensor has now been replaced from front to the rear settled inside the Moto Batwing logo. It now comes with a matte finish glass back with Gorilla Glass protection.

Motorola Razr 5G now comes with redesigned hinges which now ensures the teardrop display can fold flush with zero gaps. While the external screen gets more access to apps such as camera, messages, calculator, Google Keep, Google News, Google Home, and YouTube along with support for gesture navigation too. The Motorola Razr 5G is backed by a larger 2,800mAh battery bundled with a 15W charger that comes inside the box.

Motorola Razr 5G runs Android 10 with My UX along with 2 guaranteed major OS upgrades and Bi-monthly security updates for 2 years. The foldable will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In terms of cameras, the Razr 5G has a 48-megapixel main camera on the outer display with f/1.7 aperture and OIS, laser autofocus with a side-mounted LED flash. For selfies, there is a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
