Transsion holding smartphone brands announced Tecno Spark 8 in India in September this year. Tecno Mobile introduced the device in a single configuration and is now a new variant with 3G RAM and MediaTek Helio G25 gaming chipset.
To recall, the phone was earlier made available with MediTek Helio A25 with 2GB of RAM. The new variant comes with a couple of new changes like its display which is bigger and much thinner profile. Let’s see what’s more has changed this time.
Tecno Spark 8 smartphone specifications
The new variant of Tecno Spark 8 has an HD+ 6.56-inch HD+Dot Notch display. The screen offers 480 nits of peak brightness and a 20.15:9 aspect ratio. The device runs on HiOS on top of Android 11 Go Edition. Under the hood, there is a 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio G25 gaming processor, which endures 8 cores for faster operations.
Its HyperEngine technology provides a seamless performance during gaming. The phone is offered in a single 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage option that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
The new Tecno Spark 8 comes with a dual rear camera set up inside a square-shaped camera module. The set-up consists of a 16-megapixel main camera and a QVGA secondary lens alongside the LED flash. Moreover, it supports various Pro shooting modes like 1080P Time-lapse, Slow Motion, AR Shot, smile capture, AI Portrait and many more to help you click professional photos and videos.
Upfront there is an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling with dual front flash, AI beauty and many other modes for perfect low light selfies.
In addition to this, there is a 5,000mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. For connectivity there is WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4G+5G, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GNSS, Galileo, Beidou, 2G GSM EDGE, 3G WCDMA, 4G FDD_LTE, 4G TDD_LTE Support dual LTE. While the sensors onboard include an accelerometer and ambient light, distance.
Tecno Spark 8 price and availability
The price of the new variant of Tecno Spark 8 in India has been set at Rs 9,299 for the single 3GB RAM with 32GB of storage option. The device will be available in three colour options of Atlantic Blue, Iris Purple and Turquoise Cyan.
In September this year Tecno Spark 8 was also launched at 7,999 with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage option.
