Nikon Z6III camera world’s first partially-stacked CMOS sensor launched in India

The Nikon camera has EVF with a staggering resolution of 5.7M.

Nikon India has unveiled the Z6III, a high-performance hybrid camera model that inherits the Z9 and Z8’s hallmark characteristics. The Z6III has a partially-stacked CMOS sensor that is 3.5 times faster than the previous generation and a brilliant, high-resolution EVF with a wide colour range. It supports high-resolution video production, making it ideal for events, live performances, and interviews. The camera also inherits the outstanding -10 EV AF detection range of the Z9 and Z8, making it an ideal choice for low-light situations. The Z6III also comes with focus point VR and electrical VR for good picture stabilisation.

The Nikon Z6III camera body will be available by the end of June at Rs 2,47,990 (Body Only) across India at Nikon outlets.

The Nikon Z6III has the world’s first partially-stacked CMOS sensor, which enables 3.5x faster continuous shooting and Pre-Release Capture at 120 fps. It also supports 60 fps in FX format. The camera’s bright, high-resolution EVF of 4000 cd/m2 and 5760k dots with a wide colour gamut, combined with Nikon’s EXPEED 7’s fast data reading and processing, making it easier to track fast-moving subjects.

The Nikon Z6III video camera can create 6K, 5.4K, and Full HD/240p videos with 10x slow-motion capabilities. It’s ideal for weddings, live performances, and interviews, with a recording time of up to 125 minutes in 4K UHD/60p (8-bit) format. The camera also supports 12-bit ProRes RAW HQ and N-RAW files, which provide colour grading options.

In addition to this, the Nikon Z6III utilises the -10 EV AF detection range with the Z9 and Z8, making it an ideal choice for low-light situations. It can recognise up to 9 different sorts of subjects and improves focus efficiency on human faces. According to the company, the camera’s AF speed has been enhanced to be around 20% faster than its predecessor. It can capture spectacular low-light situations at ISOs ranging from 51200 for films to 64000 for photographs. The EXPEED 7 high-speed image processing engine aids in high ISO noise reduction while maintaining delicate textures in photos. The Z6III also has one of the highest in-camera Vibration Reduction (VR) at 8.0 stops. It includes focus point VR and electrical VR for optimal image stabilisation while video filming.

The Z6III is a winter-ready camera ideal for landscape and wildlife photography. It is constructed with Sereebo P series carbon fibre, magnesium alloy, and effective sealing. It provides greater creative control with Flexible Colour Picture Control, which is compatible with Nikon’s NX Studio software. This function allows users to modify light and colours in a straightforward manner. Users can export settings from NX Studio to the Z6III and register them as Custom Picture Controls, which can be accessed during shooting and shown on the live display for real-time preview.

The Nikon camera is now compatible with Nikon Imaging Cloud, a new cloud service that provides new Imaging Recipes and firmware upgrades without the need for a computer or smartphone. Images captured by the camera are instantly uploaded to Nikon Imaging Cloud and can be utilised in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.
