Nokia brand licensee HMD Global has announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone in the Indian market. The company has introduced Nokia C01 Plus in the country. The device runs on Android 11 (Go edition) and features a waterproof casing. The smartphone also includes a 3,000mAh battery. To recall, the handset was first introduced in Russia in June this year.

Nokia C01 Plus price in India and availability
The Nokia C01 Plus has been launched in India in a single 2GB RAM with a 16GB storage option priced at 5,999. The budget smartphone will be available in two colour options of Blue and Purple. The device will be available across leading offline retail stores, e-commerce platforms and Nokia.com.
Launch offer includes instant price support of 10% as a Jio Exclusive Offer and the customers have to pay Rs 5,399. Customers can avail of the offer at participating Retail stores or through the MyJio app. In case of self-enrollment via the MyJio app, they can opt for the JioExclusive offer within 15 days of activating the device and the Price Support benefits would be passed directly to the customer’s bank account via UPI within 30 minutes of successful enrolment. Additionally, on the recharge of Rs 249 the Jio subscribers would also be eligible for benefits worth Rs 4000 across Myntra, PharmEasy, Oyo & MakeMyTrip.
Nokia C01 Plus specifications
Nokia C01 Plus features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 720×1,440 pixels of resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device runs on Android 11 (Go edition) with 2 years of quarterly security updates. The phone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863a SoC paired with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage option. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
Nokia C01 Plus also comes with a single 5-megapixel camera at the rear. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an LED flash.
The Nokia’s budget smartphone packs a removable 3,000mAh battery that supports 5W charging. In terms of connectivity, there is 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
