The online dating application Tinder is now rolling out new features to its platform to enhance the user experience. The dating app will be getting videos on their profile, Explore section and a Hot Takes section. So now the users will be able to add a video to their dating profiles. Additionally, they can find matches based on shared interests with the help of the Explore section.
Not long ago, Tinder came up with the functionality to block your relatives or your ex-partner by their contact number to avoid awkwardly swiping. And now the dating app will be offering new features like videos in profiles, an Explore section, and a Hot Takes section.
Commenting on the release of the new features, Jim Lanzone, CEO of Tinder said, “Tinder is overwhelmingly the most popular way to make meaningful new connections around the world” He further added, “Meanwhile, a new generation of daters is asking for more from us in the post-Covid world: more ways to show off their authentic selves, more ways to have fun and interact with others virtually, and more control over who they meet on Tinder and how they communicate. They also want to date in a less linear fashion, at their own pace, and with the hope that sparks might fly with someone unexpected. Today’s launch lays down the building blocks for all of this and more – a deeper, multi-dimensional experience that expands the possibilities of Tinder as a platform.”
To provide a new social experience the user can add a video to their profiles. This feature will allow the users to express themselves through videos on their profiles. The company thinks that the video feature will allow the members to express themselves through videos in their profiles.
To find out the right person, a new Explore section that allows members to navigate by interest, activity or content type. This new section within the app will let you discover matches who share similar Passions and explore different sides of Tinder-like Festival or Chef Mode.
Hot Takes and other in-app events will be live in the Explore section when it launches later this summer. The Hot Takes section will give an opportunity to the members to chat with someone before they match in a low-stakes session of the feature’s namesake. As the timer counts down they’ll choose if they want to pair off as a match or let the timer expire to meet someone new. This space will allow them to chat before they match, letting their flirty banter be their first impression. This space will be open for all the members on Tinder every day from 6 p.m. until midnight local time.
