Nubia Red Magic 3 to launch on June 17 in India

Flipkart has put up a landing page for the Nubia Red Magic 3 before its launch.

Black Shark 2 has already launched in India as a gaming smartphone and Asus’s ROG Phone was already in the market since 2018. With these two coming to India, it can be said that the audience for gaming smartphones is increasing in the country. Earlier, we already saw that Nubia was teasing the launch of its upcoming gaming smartphone named Nubia Red Magic 3 in India. However, we didn’t have an India launch date to look forward to. Now, it has been confirmed that Nubia Red Magic 3 will be launching in India on June 17. The company will be partnering with Flipkart to bring the Nubia Red Magic 3 in India and it will be sold exclusively on the Indian e-commerce platform. Flipkart has also put out a teaser page for the Nubia Red Magic 3 on its platform but there is no option to pre-order or pre-book the device. Although the date of the Nubia Red Magic 3 is already out, the pricing of the upcoming gaming smartphone has currently not been announced.

Nubia Red Magic 3 was launched in China back in April 2019 and it came with impressive features such as a 5,000mAh battery, 90Hz refresh rate display and was powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC. Other than that, the Nubia Red Magic 3 has a centrifugal fan to cool it during the intensive gaming sessions. Flipkart’s teaser page reads GodModeOn with a hashtag along with the launch date of the device.  Other features of the Nubia Red Magic 3 include air triggers which is helpful in gaming as it gives extra set of controls to the users. And lastly, it comes with a pogo pin connector which can be used to connect controllers to the device and make it a full-fledged gaming device.

Nubia Red Magic 3 price and availability in India (expected)

Although the official Indian pricing of the device hasn’t been revealed yet but there is a possibility that it would be priced around Rs 30,000. When launched in China, it was priced at CNY 2,899 (approximately Rs 29,100), so we could see similar pricing for the Indian variant of the device as well.

The device came with multiple RAM and storage variants in China, so it remains to be seen how many variants of the Nubia Red Magic 3 launches in India.

Nubia Red Magic 3 specifications and features

The Nubia Red Magic 3 sports a 6.65-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) HDR AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support and the Nubia Red Magic 3 runs Android 9 Pie.

For imaging duties, the Nubia Red Magic 3 features a single 48MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

According to the company, the Nubia Red Magic 3 is capable of giving an hour of gameplay with just 10 minutes of charging. Other features of the Nubia Red Magic 3 include front-facing stereo speakers, DTS:X, 3D sound technologies, and liquid cooling support for keeping the phone cool.
