OnePlus 7 Pro to go on pre-orders in India today: Get all the details here

Chinese smartphone company OnePlus is all set to launch its OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 handsets on May 14. For the first time ever, OnePlus would be launching its flagship smartphones globally from India at an event in Bengaluru. The company would also be holding simultaneous events in the United States and Europe. Less than two weeks ahead of its launch, OnePlus 7 Pro will be going on pre-orders in India today.

The company took to its Twitter account to announce that the pre-orders of the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone are set to begin today (May 3) at 12 pm. There is a dedicated page of the upcoming OnePlus smartphones on Amazon India’s website, which means that the handset will exclusively be available there.

You can head to Amazon India today at 12 pm to pre-book the device for yourself. We shall also update you about whether the pre-booking can be done via OnePlus’ official website. Currently, the company has not shared any other details about pre-orders.

On Twitter, it posted an image saying “Pre-book the OnePlus 7 Pro. May 3, 12 pm.” Along with that, it also wrote, “It’s happening! Pre-booking for the #OnePlus7Pro starts 12pm tomorrow. Watch this space.”

As of now, there is no word on the pricing of the upcoming flagship smartphone by OnePlus, however, it is being speculated that the handset will cost more than Rs 50,000 in India.

The company has teased that OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a triple camera setup on its back panel and CEO Pete Lau has also said that the handset’s display panel is the most expensive screen that has been used on a flagship device yet. Lau also added that the display of the smartphone cost three times more than a conventional screen.

Reports about the smartphone have also suggested that it will come with a 90Hz Quad HD+ AMOLED display.

OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a full-screen experience and instead of the notch to house the front-facing camera of the smartphone, it will sport a pop-up selfie camera. Till now, pop-up selfie cameras have only been seen in the smartphones from Oppo and Vivo.

The handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and will reportedly come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Chinese smartphone brand has also claimed that OnePlus 7 Pro has received the A+ rating from DisplayMate.
