Oppo A53 with a 5,000mAh battery to launch in India today

Oppo A53 is all set to launch in India today. Prior to its launch in the country, the smartphone has already made its debut in Indonesia. But here it is going to be priced under the budget segment. While announcing the release date the company itself has confirmed that the phone will fall under Rs 15,000. The key highlights of the smartphone include octa-core Snapdragon 460 SoC, a triple rear camera setup, a 90Hz refresh rate screen and a 5,000mAh battery.

Oppo is going to launch Oppo A53 in India via a digital event that will be live-streamed on YouTube today. The event will be kicked off at 12.30 PM in the county. For your convenience, we have embedded the link for the online event below.

As we mention earlier Oppo A53 has been released in Indonesia ahead of the India launch. It is available in a single 4GB RAM with 64GB storage which is priced at IDR 2,499,000 that translates to Rs 12,700. It is available in an Electric Black and Fancy Blue variants. Here in India, the company will be offering the phone similar colour options as well as the price tag.

Oppo A53 will arrive with a 6.5-inch HD+ display having 1,600×720 pixels of resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. It will run on ColorOS 7.2 on top of Android 10.  The new Oppo smartphone will derive its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor coupled with 4GB of Ram with 64GB of internal storage option. The memory can be expanded up to 256GB via using a microSD card.

For optics, Oppo A53 will be featuring a triple rear camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary lens and another 2-megapixel tertiary sensor.  Upfront, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera sitting under a hole-punch display.

In addition to this, the phone will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. On the connectivity front, there will be 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. While on the back of the phone there will be a fingerprint sensor to unlock the device quickly.
