The Chinese brand Oppo has launched its latest product in the market. The company has come up with its newest wearable drive known as Oppo Band. The Band series will be available in three models: a regular Oppo Band, Oppo Band Fashion Edition, and Oppo Band EVA Edition. The regular model comes with a plastic casing while the other two offer NFC support. All the models are compatible with the latest Android and iOS devices and can be connected via Bluetooth v5.
Oppo Band series pricing and availability
The company has launched Oppo Band with a price tag of CNY 199 that translates to Rs 2,100. It will be available in two colour options Black and Pink are now up for sale. While the Fashion Edition comes at CNY 249 that translates to Rs 2,600. It is offered in Black and Gold colour options. Lastly, EVA Edition of the Oppo Band has been introduced at CNY 299 that translates to Rs 3,100. Both Fashion and EVA editions have been put pre-order via the company’s website while the regular model has already gone on sale in China. All the models of Oppo Band are expected to arrive in India however there is no word from the company with regard to the international availability of its latest wearable offering.
Oppo Band series specifications and features
The vanilla Oppo Band, Fashion Edition, and EVA Edition come with a 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display offering 100 percent P3 wide colour gamut. To prevent scratches the company has layered it with a 2.5D curved scratch resistant surface. Oppo Band features a plastic casing while the Oppo Band Fashion Edition sports a stainless steel body with TPU and alloy band. The EVA Edition comes with an animation series Neon Genesis Evangelion inspired strap. All the models can be connected to an Android and iOS device via Bluetooth v5.
The Oppo Band Fashion Edition comes with NFC support making it simpler to make transactions, exchange digital content, and connect electronic devices with a touch. All the models are 5ATM water resistance and also include health monitoring features such as SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen monitoring and a heart rate sensor. The fitness features on the wearables being offered are steps count, calories burnt, and sleep monitoring. 12 sports modes are being offered on the smart wearables that include outdoor run, outdoor cycling, outdoor walking, indoor cycling, indoor running, fat loss running, free training, badminton, swimming, rowing machine, elliptical machine, as well as weight training.
The device is available with more than 160 watch faces which can be customised using the app. Also, it shows notifications, calls, messages from WhatsApp and other social networking apps. In addition to this, it also allows the user to control music, weather, alarm along with the Find My Phone feature. Lastly, the smart band series delivers 14 days of battery life on a single charge. It takes 1.5 hours to fully charge.
