OPPO F29 5G and OPPO F29 Pro 5G with 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED screens launched in India

Both phones get reverse charging support.

The OPPO F29 Series is now available in India. The company has introduced two smartphones under the lineup, the basic F29 and the F29 Pro. The series is said to be tested in India by SGS for IP66, IP68, and IP69 water resistance. It features the industry’s first Hunter Antenna Architecture, delivering a 300% boost in signal strength. The devices sport up to 6500mAh battery with reverse charging. In addition to this, they have a 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED screen.

OPPO F29 Pro 5G price in India starts at:

  • 8GB + 128GB- Rs 27,999

The vanilla variant will be available for purchase from March 27 whereas the Pro model from April 1 via OPPO E-store, Flipkart, Amazon and the mainline retail outlet.

OPPO F29 Series Specifications

The OPPO F29 5G and OPPO F29 Pro 5G features a Quad-Curved Infinite View 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with 2412×1080 pixels of resolution. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness support. The vanilla variant comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection whereas the screen of the Pro model is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Both the phones have an in-display fingerprint sensor for unlocking.

The standard variant is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with Adreno 710 GPU (8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage), while the Pro variant comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC with with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU (8GB / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage). The smartphone runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 on top and supports 2 years of OS updates with 3 years of security patches.

For the photos and videos the OPPO F29 5G and OPPO F29 Pro 5G comes with a 50MP rear main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 2MP secondary monochrome camera with f/2.2 aperture. There is a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for handling selfies and video calling.

The F29 5G includes a 6500mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC Fast Charging whereas the F29 5G Pro packs a 6000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC Fast Charging support. Both smartphone models support Reverse Charging. Its Ultra Volume Mode boosts audio 300% while the Hands-Free Mode auto switches to speakerphone with its volume maxed, along with Glove Mode and Splash Touch so you can use the touchscreen with wet or gloved hands.

The handsets also pack a bunch of AI features like AI Livephoto, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover and AI Eraser 2.0. There are several GenAI features such as the Documents app, AI Toolbox 2.0, Screen Translator, AI Writer, AI Reply, and AI Recording Summary. The tool can record office meetings in English, Hindi, and Tamil for up to five hours, generate notes, summaries, and transcripts, and address weak network signals for smooth connections. Additionally, Circle to Search with Google allows users to instantly search for anything on-screen with a long press of the home button or navigation bar.
