Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro with 65W fast charging tech and 5G support launched 

Both the smartphones come with a quad rear camera set up

The Chinese smartphone company Oppo has finally pulled the wraps off over its much anticipated Oppo Reno 4 series. In China, the company has launched two mobile phones Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro. The series is the successor of Reno 3 that have just arrived in March this year however it didn’t offer 5G compatibility. The latest series comes with 5G supported processor, punch hole display and triple rear comer setup featuring a 48-megapixel sensor. Besides this, the company has also introduced its latest  Oppo Enco W51 True Wireless Headphones, Oppo Band and Oppo 5G CPE T1 router.

In China, the company hosted a Reno4 NIGHT where it introduced a variety of new products alongside the Oppo Reno 4 series. The Reno 4 has been introduced with a price tag of RMB 2999 (Rs 31,999) for the 8GB RAM +128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM+256GB storage model retails at RMB 3299 (Rs 35,200). It comes in Galactic Blue, Sparkling Red, Space Black and Space White colour options.

While on the other hand, Oppo Reno 4 Pro comes at RMB 3799 (Rs 40,535) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and the  12GB RAM+256GB storage variant has been priced at RMB 4299 (Rs 45,870). The smartphone will be offered in three colour options Galactic Blue, Space Black and Taro Purple. All the models will start selling in China starting June 12 while the Oppo Reno 4 Pro Green Glitter limited edition model will be available from June 18.

Following OPPO’s “Glocal” strategy, the India version of the smartphone is expected to come with multiple localized features to cater to the changing needs of Indian consumers.

Oppo Reno 4 series specifications and features

Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro comes with similar specifications and design aspects. Both the devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor for offering 5G compatibility paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Reno 4 features a 6.5-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display with 2400×1080 pixels of resolution. Whereas the Oppo Reno 4 comes with a bigger 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2400×1080 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz sampling rate.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro features a quad rear camera set up that includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, another 12-megapixel Sony IMX708  ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with laser autofocus sensor. For selfies, there is a  32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Reno 4 also sports a quad rear camera. The setup includes a 48-megapixel sensor,  an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and a laser autofocus sensor.  While on the front there is a dual selfie camera set up that includes a 32-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

Both the handsets runs on ColorOS 7.2 based on top of Android 10. Oppo Reno 4 Pro houses a 4,000mAh battery with 60W fast charging tech. Whereas Oppo Reno 4 comes with a bigger 4020mAh battery with 65W fast charge support.
