Poco M4 5G with Dimensity 700 SoC and 90Hz display launched in India

Poco M4 5G the most affordable 5G smartphone has officially debuted in India today. The smartphone is the latest to join the 4G and 5G versions of Poco M4 Pro from the M-Series. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC powers the smartphone. It is powered by dual rear cameras and an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

Poco M4 5G price in India and availability

Poco M4 5G has been launched in India in two different configurations. The phone will be sold at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option and Rs 14,999 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage option. The handset will come in three colour options of Cool Blue, Power Black, and Yellow. SBI card users can also avail of a flat Rs 2,000 instant discount. The sale will open on May 5 on Flipkart at 12 noon.

The Poco M4 5G has a compact design with a hypnotic swirl design back panel and curved edges. The Poco M4 5G is highlighted with a 6.58-inch full-HD+ LCD display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. The screen comes with a refresh rate of 90Hz and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is also equipped with an Adaptive refresh rate that automatically adapts to 30Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz based on the type of content used on the smartphone further optimising the battery life. The handset operates on Android 12 with Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 skin on top. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor with up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone has an internal storage capacity of up to 128GB, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card. The Poco phone also has a Turbo RAM feature, which takes 2GB of storage and turns it into RAM for faster operations.

The Poco M4 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. A 2-megapixel portrait camera with an f/2.4 aperture is included. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor on the front with an f/2.45 aperture. The available photography modes such as night mode, AI scene detection, movie frame, Pro colour, among others make the photography and videography experience more fun.

The Poco M4 5G has seven 5G bands, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port, to provide 5G connectivity. The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support with an in-box 22.5W charger. The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the side. In addition to this, the device is dust and water-resistant to IP52 standards.
