The Chinese electronics brand, Xiaomi, is expanding its audio products portfolio. Today the company announced the launch of its first Redmi Earbuds S in India, under its true wireless earphones category. The newly launched earbuds have been unveiled under the affordable range to take on its rival Realme who has just introduced its new set of true wireless earbuds Realme Buds Air Neo.

We hope that with the Redmi Earbuds S, our consumers have a great audio experience.”
Redmi Earbuds S is the company’s first product in India under the true wireless audio category. The audio device is the rebranded version of Redmi AirDots S that made its debut in China last month. But there its was introduced with a lower price tag of CYN 100 that translates to Rs 1,100 and also cheaper than Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 that costs Rs 4,499. The Redmi Earbuds S will be available with a price tag of Rs 1,799 in the country and will be offered in a single black colour variant. It will go on sale starting May 27 via Amazon, mi.com, Mi Studios, Mi Stores as well as Mi Commerce. The earbuds are said to be available across all retail channels soon.
In terms of design and features, Redmi Earbuds S comes with a compact design on both buds and the case. The earbuds have been designed in such a way that it fits into your ear canal for long hours with any discomfort. Whereas, the charging case has a matte black finish and is small in size retaining its compactness. The earbuds come with Bluetooth connectivity for easy pairing with your smartphone. It features a single button interface, which can be used to receive/end calls, play/pause music, summons voice assistants and activate a dedicated gaming mode.
Moreover, the dedicated gaming mode (low latency mode) brings latency to 122ms that reduces the audio lag while playing games. The Redmi Earbuds S delivers 12 hours of battery life with the charging case. These earphones comes with an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. The earbuds will be offered with 3 different sized silicone tips which provide the right fit and passive noise isolation. Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) allows crystal clear call quality with the built-in microphones.
