Redmi Note 7 starts receiving the MIUI 10.3.5.0 update: Here’s everything that’s new

The Redmi Note 7 was launched in February this year and it is touted as one of the best budget devices in the Indian market. Just two months after its launch, Xiaomi has started rolling out a new update to the smartphone. The new features that come with the update include an AI camera, floating windows for calls while gaming and more other controls over notifications. In addition to this, the new update brings the April Android Security patch.

The new MIUI update for the Redmi Note 7 holds the version number MIUI v10.3.5.0.PFGMIXM and it brings a host of new features, bug fixes and other major improvements over its previous update. Other than the features and improvements mentioned above, the new update for the Note 7 also comes with face unlock feature, system issue fixes, notification and battery information issue fixes. There are also improvements made over the camera of the Redmi Note 7 along with lock screen and many other.

Talking more about the new update of the Redmi Note 7 we see that it brings new camera modes for the AI camera of the smartphone. Other than that, the new MIUI update has also brought with it the April Android Security patch which is the major points of the update. In addition to this, the issue with the camera app which used to shut down automatically when it was closed and opened in the video mode has also been fixed.

Prior to this, the users of the Redmi Note 7 had complained about the face unlock feature, where the device was kept on lock screen even after being unlocked. In the new MIUI v10.3.5.0.PFGMIXM update that issue has been fixed and other improvements have been made to the face unlock feature of the Redmi Note 7. The users of the device can now restrict the notification shade from opening on the lock screen. They will now be able to choose to see the floating windows for incoming calls while gaming. According to the users who has already received the update, there is a redesigned start page in the Mi Cloud app along with many software issue fixes.

The new stable MIUI update will be available for the users of the Redmi Note 7 in the coming days. Although the device will remind them of the arrival of the new update, if it doesn’t, they can check for the new update manually as well.
