Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 256GB storage variant launched, booking starts today

Earlier this month Samsung launched its Fan Edition of the S20 series in India. The South Korean smartphone brand has introduced the 4G variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in the country. At the time of the launch, only single RAM and storage were offered but now the company has released a new variant with 256GB of storage. The new option will be up for pre-order from today onwards. The device comes with triple cameras, a hole punch display with 120Hz refresh rate support and is powered by octa-core Exynos 990 SoC.

In India Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has now got a new variant with 256GB of storage. The new variant will be available in India with a price tag of Rs 53,999. This variant comes in a Cloud Navy colour option. The device will be up for pre-orders in the country from today onwards via Samsung.com, all the online stores and can be booked through offline retailers also. According to the company, the new phone will start shipping from October 28 onwards.

On the other hand, the 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage option is available for sale at Rs 49,999 via e-commerce portal Amazon, Samsung India online store, and select offline retailers. This variant comes in five colour options  Cloud Red, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE specifications

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes with a 6.5-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 407ppi. The 4G variant is powered by octa-core Exynos 990 SoC and is paired with an 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage that can be expanded up to 1TB using a MicroSD card.

In terms of cameras, the smartphone comes with a primary 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view (FoV) and f/2.2 aperture and lastly an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture. The rear cameras support 3x Optical Zoom, up to 30x Super-Resolution Zoom, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and Tracking AF. In terms of the selfie, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture along with autofocus support.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is backed up by a 4,500mAh battery 15W fast charging, wireless charging and Samsung’s Wireless PowerShare support.  The connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, hall sensor, and a proximity sensor.
