Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e gets updated with Bixby voice assistant

The new software update by Samsung is initially being rolled out in the UK and South Korea

South Korean technology company Samsung has pushed a new software update for Galaxy Tab S5e. During the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, the company promised to bring Bixby Voice support to the device. Now, the tablet has started receiving the Bixby voice assistant feature via an update. The users can use the Bixby Voice feature by long pressing on the power button.

However, before accessing the Bixby voice assistant feature the users have to go to the notification bar and then tap on the ‘Settings’ option. Here, they would have to search for then Bixby toggle and then enable it.

After enabling the Bixby voice assistant feature on your device, you must be thinking how will you be able to reboot it or switch it off. Samsung has made a provision for that too. Now, you can find the Power menu placed in the notification bar beside the settings shortcut.

In addition to this, you can also add a shortcut of Bixby Voice on the home screen of the tablet. The Bixby Voice assistant responds to the user’s command when they say ‘Hi Bixby’, however, the voice assistant feature by Samsung responds slowly.

The newest software update by Samsung comes with a software version T72*XXU1ASG3 and it is initially being rolled out in the UK and South Korea as of now. The new software update brings the June 2019 security patches. Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e LTE version will get a new feature that supports Call and Message Continuity. To access the new feature, the tablet should have a sim card in it. With the new feature, users will be able to take their calls and read messages that are received via the tablet provided both the devices are signed into the same Samsung Account.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display that has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a screen-to-body ratio of 82%. The tablet comes with a slim bezel and it includes a quad-speakers with Dolby Atmos and AKG integration. The device runs Android 9 Pie skinned with One UI. Powered by a Snapdragon 670 SoC along with 4GB of RAM, the device comes with 64GB of internal memory and can support a microSD card. Samsung Dex mode helps the device to be connected with a Book Cover keyboard using POGO connectors. The tablet houses a massive 7,040mAh battery and it comes with fast charging support.

On the imaging front, Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e comes with a single 13MP camera at its rear panel whereas, on the front, there is an 8MP camera for video calling and selfies.
