Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has been officially launched in India. The South Korean smartphone brand has introduced the 4G variant only today. However last month at the global launch event the company brought both 4G as well as 5G version of the Galaxy S20 FE. The key specs of the device include a 120Hz refresh rate display, triple rear camera and is powered by octa-core Exynos 990 SoC. Check out the pricing and specification below.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE price and availability
In India Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has been introduced with a price tag of Rs 49,999 for the single 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage option. The device in the country will be offered in five colour options Cloud Red, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White. According to the company, the pre-order will open on October 9 and the device is scheduled to go on sale starting October 16 via e-commerce portal Amazon, Samsung India online store, and select offline retailers.
On pre-booking, customers can avail special benefits worth INR 8000, including Samsung e-store benefits worth INR 4000 and an Upgrade Bonus of INR 3000 or cashback up to INR 4000 through HDFC Bank cards.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE specifications
The 4G variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE features a 6.5-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate support, a 240Hz touch report rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio with a pixel density of 407ppi, protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Exynos 990 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 1TB using a MicroSD card.
For optics, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE features a triple rear camera setup that includes a primary 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 123-degree field of view (FoV) and f/2.2 aperture and lastly an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture. The rear cameras support 3x Optical Zoom, up to 30x Super-Resolution Zoom, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and Tracking AF. In terms of the selfie, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture along with autofocus support.
The device is IP68 certified which makes it dust and water-resistant. The connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, hall sensor, and a proximity sensor. The smartphone houses a 4,500mAh battery 15W fast charging, wireless charging and Samsung’s Wireless PowerShare support.
