Sony has just unveiled its next-generation Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z3 Premium. Hiroki Totoki, President and CEO at Sony Mobile Communications, said “Smartphones are part of people’s lives. Since users already create, share and enjoy most of their content on the go – we’ve set out to bring Sony’s latest innovations in camera, design and display to ensure the Xperia Z5 series is the best possible lifestyle and entertainment platform.”
The Xperia Z5 will feature a 5.2-inch full HD display and is 7.3mm thick. It is powered by a 64-bit class based Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. This smartphone will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It is expected to have 32GB of internal storage, which can further be expanded via a microSD card. The device is said to come equipped with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS 23-megapixel image sensor. This smartphone will also be available in both single SIM and dual SIM variants. It will also feature 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The Xperia Z5 would house a 2,900 mAh battery.
Coming to the next smartphone, the Xperia Z5 Compact will feature a 4.6-inch 720p display. The device will be 8.3mm thick. The smartphone will be powered by a 64-bit class based Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 2GB RAM. This smartphone will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It also features 32GB internal storage, which can be extended via a microSD card. The device is said to come equipped with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS 23-megapixel image sensor. It will also feature 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The Xperia Z5 Compact would house a 2,700 mAh battery.
