Sony WF-1000XM5 TWS Earbuds With Dynamic Driver X launched in India

Sony WF-1000XM5 are IPX4 rated for protection against splashes and sweat.

After launching Sony WF-1000XM5 TWS Earbuds in the US the company has now announced the launch of the new TWS earbuds in India today. The earphones are a successor to the Sony WF-1000XM4 that debuted in 2021. The device is powered by V2 and QN2e Active Noise Cancellation Chip. In addition to this, there is the new Dynamic Driver X. The audio device comes with an IPX4 rating and offers quick charging.

Sony WF-1000XM5 price in India has been set at Rs 24,990. But customers can now pre-book it at a special price of Rs. 21,990 which also includes a cashback of Rs 3,000. The buyers are also eligible to get an SRS-XB100 portable speaker worth Rs 4,990 free under the pre-book offer.

The pre-booking will begin today and will open till October 15. The TWS earbuds will be available in Black and Platinum silver colour options via all online and offline channels such as Sony Center, major electronic stores and e-commerce portals in India starting October 18.

Sony WF-1000XM5 specifications

The Sony WF-1000XM5 is powered by Sony’s Integrated Processor V2 chip and the QN2e processors. The chipset helps in improving the performance of Active Noise Cancellation. The TWS comes equipped with an 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X with polyurethane foam-made ear tips. In addition to this, each earbud has bone conduction sensors fitted together with deep neural network (DNN) processing. This helps to enhance voice quality during phone calls. Along with ANC, the wind noise reduction structure minimises any wind noise.

Additionally, these earbuds are approximately 25% smaller and approximately 20% lighter than their predecessor. The Sony WF-1000XM5 features Adaptive Sound Control and Speak-to-Chat as well as Multipoint Connect which lets you pair two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. In addition to this, the device can also control voice assistant and Auto Play for an operation-free listening experience.

The music timing on the earbuds can be customised as per your liking and the device also provides audio notifications. The device can be linked with Spotify, Endel and Apple Music to access music.

Sony WF-1000XM5 are IPX4 rated for protection against splashes and sweat. As per the company, the TWS can last you up to 8 hours and with just 3 minutes of quick charge, it can provide 60 minutes of playtime. While Qi tech support offers easy wireless charging.
