Elon Musk-owned Starlink has released its monthly membership prices for its satellite internet service in India as it prepares for an impending launch. The firm intends to bring internet access to rural corners of the country and has highlighted key features of its residential consumer plan lately. Although the details for its Business subscription price have not yet been made public, the primary objective remains to improve accessibility to internet services across varied locations in India.
Starlink has revealed residential subscription rates in India and updated the information on its website. Customers may use Starlink’s satellite internet service for Rs 8,600 per month, which includes the purchase of the necessary gear, which is Rs 34,000.
The service includes unlimited data and a 30-day trial period, allowing consumers to test it before committing to a longer-term subscription. This move is a big step towards increasing SpaceX’s satellite internet operations in India.
While the costs for the Starlink Residential package in India have been revealed, information on the Business subscription remains unavailable. The company is expected to disclose the cost for the business subscription soon.
The SpaceX subsidiary has already launched its 10,000th satellite and is aggressively expanding its operations in India. To support this development, the firm has posted many job openings for its Bengaluru headquarters and announced plans to create ground stations in other locations around the country.

Starlink received a Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite (GMPCS) licence from the Department of Telecommunications in July 2025; however spectrum assignment is waiting for full commercial implementation.
Starlink intends to establish gateway earth stations in many locations, including Chandigarh, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, to improve service quality. The company has forged relationships with major Indian telecom providers, like Reliance Jio Platforms and Bharti Airtel, to provide retail and commercial services, particularly in rural regions.

In addition, Maharashtra’s government has collaborated with Starlink to bring satellite internet to underserved rural areas, intending to provide high-speed access when existing broadband options are inadequate.
