Netflix’s new mobile tab: An overview

The popular streaming service Netflix is introducing a new mobile tab in its mobile apps. This feature was made available to iOS users on Monday. Android users can experience this new future in the month of August only. The new mobile tab will be known as ‘My Netflix’ and it will make it easier for you to find something you want to watch. 

Netflix already shows you a list of TV shows that you have currently been watching in its Continue Watching tab and you can also create a list of content that you want to touch by adding it to the tab of “My List”.

The new mobile tab of “My Netflix” surfaces titles that you may have shown interest in. This can help you make the decision of what to watch. The My Netflix tab will show titles that you have downloaded or titles you have recently watched and are halfway through, titles that you have saved in My List or titles that you have given a thumbs-up to. It will showcase the titles of trailers that you have watched in the past. The basic idea behind this is to give priority to recommendations that you have saved or downloaded. 

The new Netflix mobile tab also makes profile switching handy and convenient. There will be a notification section as well to show what is there and what content will be leaving Netflix so you do not have to dig deeper into the app. The main idea behind this new mobile tab is to make sure that users interact with the app often to improve the recommendations.
