Vivo U20 with 5,000mAh battery to go on its first sale in India via Amazon and Vivo e-store

Last week the Chinese smartphone company Vivo arrived with a new smartphone in India. The company launched Vivo U20, which is also the successor of Vivo U10 that was launched by the company a few months ago. The phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery. Other than this the handset has a triple rear camera with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. Today the phone will go on its first sale via Amazon India and Vivo e-shop. Read on to know more about the sale details.

Vivo U20 Pricing, availability and offers

Vivo launched its new handset Vivo U20 in two different configurations of 4GB RAM with 64GB storage with a price tag of Rs Rs 10,990. Whereas the upper variant, which is the 6GB of RAM with 64GB of onboard storage, will be available at Rs 11,990. The company has introduced the phone in two colour variants — Racing Black and Blaze Blue.

Today the phone will go on sale in India via e-commerce website Amazon and Vivo e-shop. The sale will begin at 12 noon onwards on both the websites. The sale offers include Rs 1,000 off on the prepaid order made that is valid for today only. The company is also offering no-cost EMI options up to six months along with Jio benefits worth Rs 6,000.

Vivo U20 specifications

Vivo U20 runs Android 9 Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 on top. The latest phone draws its power from octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You can also expand the storage up to 256GB using a microSD card. The phone comes with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with a 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio along with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels of resolution and 480 nits of peak brightness.

For cameras and videos, Vivo U20 features a triple rear camera module that includes a 16-megapixel Sony IMX499 primary sensor with a night mode feature. The camera module is further assisted by an 8-megapixel super-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture. For the selfie and video chatting the phone sports a 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. This is supported by Face Unlock feature for authentication.

The phone boasts a battery with a capacity of 5,000mAh that is supported by 18W Dual-Engine fast charging. For connectivity, there is 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo. While the sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer, gyroscope and rear fingerprint sensor.
