Vivo Y16 was launched in India in September last year. Vivo has now slashed down its price by Rs 500. It is a 4G smartphone and features an IPS LCD screen and runs on Android 12. In addition to this, the phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC.

Vivo Y16 new price and sale details
Vivo Y16 was launched in India in two variants: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option. At that time it was priced at Rs 9,999 and 12,499 respectively. But the company has revised the price of the smartphone now. The 4GB variant has received a price cut of Rs 500 and can now be purchased at Rs 11,999.
Consumers can also avail of additional benefits like vivo V-Shield Protection Plans with every purchase. The smartphone with the new effective price will be available for purchase starting today, June 1, on the vivo India e-store and across all partner retail stores. The device comes in two colour options of Drizzling Gold and Stellar.
Vivo Y16 specifications
Vivo Y16 features a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with 720×1,600 pixels of resolution. Additionally, by successfully filtering blue light and changing the screen’s colours to warmer ones, the Eye Protection Mode helps to lessen eye strain. It comes with a glass-like rear panel that is scratch- and fingerprint-resistant. The device runs on Funtouch OS 12 on top of Android 12 out of the box. Under the hood, there is MediaTek Helio P35 SoC with up to 4GB RAM with a 128GB storage option. It has triple card slots and Extended RAM 2.0 (4GB RAM + 1GB Extended RAM), which together support memory extension up to 1TB.
The phone has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. A 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats is also included. The device has capabilities including Time-Lapse, Live Photo, Face Beauty, and Panorama.
Vivo Y16 has a 5,000mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 18 hours when watching videos. Additionally, the battery supports 10W wired charging. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and 2.5D curved corners. Additionally, it adds Multi Turbo and Ultra Game Mode, which offer the smartphone’s gaming performance an additional boost.
