Vivo Y20G with octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and AI triple cameras launched in India

Vivo has expanded its Y-series smartphones range in India with the launch of its new device Vivo Y20G. The series already includes Vivo Y12s, Vivo Y51A and Vivo Y20A and now the new mobile phone joins the family. The device claimed to be perfect for gaming enthusiasts as it is powered by an Helio G80 octa-core processor for a highly responsive gaming experience. It has also been incorporated with the HyperEngine Game Technology that speeds up game load time and provides a seamless gaming experience. Apart from this, there is an AI Triple Rear Camera with Side Fingerprint Scanner on the phone.

Vivo Y20G has been launched with a price tag of Rs 14,990 for the single 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage model. It will be offered in two colour options of Obsidian Black and Purist Blue. The device can now be purchased through Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, and across all partner retail stores.

Vivo Y20G features and specifications

Vivo Y20G comes with a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. The device has a side fingerprint scanner that unlocks the phone in just 0.17s. The smartphone runs Funtouch OS 11 on top of Android 11. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC with a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) that offers 98% more power, higher image quality and stronger performance. In addition to this, there is a HyperEngine Game Technology to enhance gaming performance.

In terms of photography, the Vivo Y20G features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Additionally, there is a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for portraits and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture. The camera set up on the phone also includes various scene modes such as Portrait, Photo, Video, Panorama, Live Photo, Slo-mo, Time-Lapse, Professional, Documents.

Vivo Y20G packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charge technology. For connectivity, there is 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and a Micro-USB port. The sensors on the phone also include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
