Vivo Y72 5G with Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC launched in India

The Chinese smartphone company Vivo has officially introduced a new 5G smartphone in the Indian market. The company has launched Vivo Y72 5G in India which was earlier unveiled in Thailand in March this year. The key highlights of the smartphone include a dual rear camera set up and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC. Moreover, the device comes loaded with gaming-centric features such as Multi-Turbo 5.0 feature.

Vivo Y72 5G has been launched in India in a single 8Gb RAM with a 128GB storage variant. This model comes with a price tag of Rs 20,990 and will be offered in two colour options of Prism Magic and Slate Grey. The device is now up for sale via various online shopping platforms in the country that includes Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store, and the Vivo India e-store.

There will be Rs 1,500 cashback on the purchase of the Vivo Y72 5G if the transaction is made through HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Kotak Bank credit cardholders. This offer is also applicable to EMI transactions as well. In addition to this, there will be a one-time screen replacement at Rs 999 for six months along with Jio benefits worth Rs 10,000 and no-cost EMI options for up to 12 months.

Vivo Y72 5G tech specifications

Vivo Y72 5G features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ IPS display with 1,080×2,408 pixels of resolution. The screen comes with 90HZ refresh rate support. The phone runs Funtouch OS 11.1 based on top of Android 11 out of the box. The 5G smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC paired with an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage option. 

In terms of options, Vivo Y72 5G comes with a  dual rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and a  2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and video calling the mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture.

The Vivo Y72 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. In addition to this, there is 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging as connectivity options. Whereas the sensors on the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
