Vodafone to start a Rs 1,499 yearly prepaid plan with unlimited calling and a lot of daily data

Vodafone has recently revised a lot of prepaid plans, which includes the removal of FUP from unlimited calling plans and offering virtually unlimited local and national calling. Now the telecom company has launched a Rs 1,499 yearly plan that is valid for 365 days. This plan would include Vodafone Play subscription and unlimited national calling.

To talk more about the plan, subscribers can get 100 free SMS daily without any blackout days whatsoever. The yearly plan is going to provide 1GB high-speed data for 3G and 4G daily. This is equivalent to the usage of 365GB data within the limit of the time period of the plan. Users can avail high download speed at a cost of 50 paise/MB once the daily limit of 1GB is reached. There might be tough competition between Vodafone and Reliance Jio considering that the latter has started a Rs 1,699 yearly plan.

Under this plan, Jio users can get unlimited local and national calls without any FUP, and also 100 local and national SMS on a daily basis. JioTV, JioMovies and JioSaavn are some of the services which the plan has to offer, to mention a few. The 365-day Jio plan includes 1.5GB data per day that comes at high speed. 547.5GB data is downloadable at 4G speed. Moreover, the speed will be converted to 64Kbps until midnight once the daily limit is reached.

Recently, Reliance Jio has launched a Jio Browser for devices starting from Android 5.0 Lollipop too. This is available all over India. One speciality of this Browser app is that it has multiple Indian regional language options, though the default language is English. The browser’s homepage includes default apps such as MyJio, BookMyShow, AJio, Amazon.in, Flipkart, NDTV and more. The size of the app is 4.8MB and can be downloaded via Google Play store, which has given it a rating of 4.4.

Also, the homepage of the Jio Browser showcases news articles from many news channels. The language you select for the browser, the content will appear accordingly.
