The Chinese electronics brand Xiaomi today introduced Mi QLED 4K TV in India today expanding its Smart TV portfolio. The Television comes with a 55-inch QLED Ultra-HD screen with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. It runs Android TV with PatchWall and support for HDR codec with Dolby Vision.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Eshwar Nilakantan, Category Lead – Mi TVs, Mi India, “At Mi India, we are constantly working towards making flagship technology accessible to everyone. The response received over the last 2 years is a testimony to the trust consumers have shown in us and it further solidifies our leadership in the segment. In the last one year, after the launch of our 4K series, we have witnessed a 55% growth in the 4K segment. Having established ourselves, we are further strengthening our TV portfolio by bringing the first QLED smart TV from the house of Mi.”
Mi QLED TV 4K price in India has been set at Rs 54,999 for the single 55-inch screen size. The 55-inch QLED Ultra-HD Television will be available for purchase via Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and other retailers including Vijay Sales in the country from December 21 at 12 noon onwards.
The Mi QLED TV 4K features a 55-inch Ultra-HD QLED screen with 3840×2160-pixels of resolution. This is supported by HDR code including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) along with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. The display offers 100% NTSC with Mi’s proprietary Vivid Picture Engine offering rich and real-world detail and texture. WHereas the Reality Flow feature offers a smoother, blur-free viewing experience while watching sports or during gameplay.
Mi QLED TV 4K sports 6 speaker set-up, along with 4 full-range drivers and 2 tweeters to deliver a multi-dimensional sound experience. It offers a frequency range that can go as low as 60Hz and all the way up to 20KHz and delivers a total power of 30Watts with audio codecs that includes DTH with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support.
With DTH with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support, it brings a bunch of features such as Universal search, User Centre, Kids Mode, Smart Recommendations and Live TV. Television is the first to come with the latest Android TV 10 out of the box. It comes with Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in, offering a smoother fluid experience.
