Xioami’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch Redmi K30. The company is going to launch the phone in its home market China first. The smartphone has been in the news for a long time now. The key details about the upcoming smartphone have also been shared thanks to the leaks and rumours that surfaced on the internet prior to its launch. Alongside the handset, Redmi will also introduce new devices such as RedmiBook 13 laptop, smart speakers as well as a Wi-Fi router.

How to watch the Livestream of the Redmi K30 launch event

The launch event of the Redmi K30 will be hosted in China. The event will begin at 2 PM CST Asia or 11:30 AM IST. You can watch the live stream via the company’s Weibo account. Until now the company has been tight-lipped about the key details of the smartphone such as its pricing, availability and specifications. But these will be revealed at the event.

Redmi K30 expected specifications

The upcoming smartphone is the successor of Redmi K20. Recently the smartphone was also spotted on the Chinese regulatory TENAA, which revealed many of the key details about the smartphone. As per the listing, the smartphone will be made available in three storage variants of 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.

You will also get an option to expand the memory up to 512GB via a microSD card. it is said that the handset is going to come with a 6.67-inch full HD+ display that offers 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. As per the listing, the phone will run on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. The device is likely to be powered by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz. Also as per the listing, Redmi K30 will measure 165.3×76.6×8.81mm and weigh 208 grams.

Prior to the Redmi K30 launch, the company posted a teaser that revealed that the smartphone is going to come with a quad rear camera set up featuring a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel sensor camera. Further assisted by a wide-angle lens offering a 120-degree field of view, a 2cm macro lens and a depth sensor. While on the front there is a dual AI-powered 20-megapixel camera sensor and a depth sensor.
