The Chinese smartphone Company Xiaomi has offered smartphones at an affordable price but at the same time is experiencing huge amount of criticism for showing ads on its devices. The company has taken this problem into its consideration and very soon the MIUI users will not experience vulgar ads that pop up every time they use the phones. The MIUI team is now working on to cut down on ads that have now become a trend across all its devices. To curb this problem the Chinese brand is testing an Ad Switch Tool that will allow the users to opt-out of seeing Ads every now and then.

Through a Weibo post, the company’s MIUI Experience Chief has revealed that they recently pushed the final beta of MIUI10. Additionally, he also opened up that they are working on a special switch to close all MIUI system tool ads. “If one thing makes the user very uncomfortable, we will definitely choose to maintain the user experience. So if the advertisement still causes a lot of trouble after you reduce the burden, then turn it off.”

The button will let the users enable or disable the advertisements in system tools such as desktop, calendar, weather, etc. The Weibo post also mentions that the ads switch will come to all supported models along with the next large stable version.

The latest feature is being rolled out to a limited number of MIUI Beta users in China at the initial stage before releasing the feature further. The button can be activated or deactivated by going to the Settings > Privacy Agreement, etc > System tool Advertising. At the moment the latest feature is only available to the latest version of MIUI 10.9.8.29.
